Whispering Mabel

In the May 21, 2009 bit by Mabel, she did say there were lessons to be learnt from what appeared to be a snafu in the suspension of a high-profile CEO. Well today, Mabel must admit that even she has learnt a lesson and that is to fully determine the facts before entering into print on any topic, that the piece on the CEO is somewhat flawed, must be regretted and therefore ask readers to disregard the sentiments that may have resulted there from.

The uniqueness of Guyana now includes the moving of its forest, if the report in the dealt press is to believed, the headline: “GFC investigating removal of 25 acres of forest”, caught the eye of Mabel. Surely this is a sizeable amount of land mass and the GFC investigation should quickly be able to find same. Mabel is looking forward to hear more on this unique phenomenal occurrence.

Astounding reports on the performances of a high-profile regional chairman has caused Mabel to question the sanity of this highly-placed functionary. Well, there will be local government elections soon. Maybe this anomaly will then be put right.

Meanwhile, the ever-growing world status of our serving President appears to have no bounds by his relentless proselytising against deforestation and preparing to confront the ravages of climate are good reasons for all Guyana to be naturally proud of his mission.

The conclusion cannot be escaped in the minds of those who are positively perceptive. The obvious intent of the EC to re-colonise the CARICOM territories – and they will succeed if they have to deal with only the likes of the Barbados Prime Minister.
