The Carnegie Museum is a leading critic of Ida

I was naturally inclined not to respond to Mr. Gossai’s letter as well as Mr. de Freitas’ letter. I was adhering to the proverb of not answering someone in their folly. But then I recalled another proverb that reminded me that it is important at times to answer some in their folly less they may appear to be right. I am adhering to the latter.

I would like to thank both Mr. Gossai and Mr. de Freitas for their recognition of my wit and irony which they call a comedic act. Writing a satire is indeed literary work which brings me to my next point. Mr. Gossai listed a number of personal questions in regards to my credentials. Maybe he has finally realised he is not smarter than a sixth-grader!

I had mentioned the article in “London Times”, but Mr. de Freitas is confusing it with “Dr. London”. How come I am not surprised? Even a sixth-grader knows about the “London Times”. Anyway, what’s his beef with mermaids?

The London Times is one of England’s leading dailies, a secular newspaper established in 1785. Among the leading critics of “Ida” are the “Carnegie Museum of Natural History” founded in 1895 and Dr. Chris Beard. The “Carnegie Museum” is among the top five rated museums in the US with 20 exhibit halls, and Dr. Chris Beard is a world renowned expert in primate fossils with a PhD in functional anatomy and evolution from the world renowned “John Hopkins University”.

As I said earlier, one can read the article in the “London Times”. Just go online to “Times Online”, do a search for “Ida” in the search field, then click on “John Hurum paid $750.000”. I would like to apologise to Mr. Gossai for not answering his questions satisfactorily. But I will let him on to a little secret: What I do say to my congregation is “I’m too legit to quit”.
