GUYANA’S draft Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) paper is now online and can be viewed by visiting the Government Information Agency (GINA) website. The 58-page long document outlines how Guyana intends to uses its pristine rain-forests to foster economic development, while at the same time mitigate climate change.
A feature which permits comments to be posted is in place and all interested parties are encouraged to peruse the document and post their comments. Feedback received will be forwarded to the relevant authorities for review and consideration during the consultations on the draft paper.
