The Guyana Chess Federation will host a rapid chess tournament this Sunday at the YMCA, Thomas Land. The format of the tournament is a swiss system and consists of nine rounds. Registration starts at 9:30 am, while the first round will start at 10 am sharp. A time control of fifteen minutes is allotted per player.

A rapid tournament is where all the allotted moves must be completed between 15-60 minutes. It is not compulsory for players to record their moves.
