It was the eighth day of their disappearance, with only the ice box from their boat ‘Sir Kegan’ being found in North West District on Monday.
The receptacle was positively identified by Nalini Singh, wife of owner and captain of the vessel, Michael Ramlochan, 38, who was with cousins, Basdeo Ramphal, 22 and Ramlall Ramphal, 26 and 14-year-old Peter Torres, a schoolboy who was supposed to be at school and did not inform his household that he was going with them.

The ice container with the catch was taken ashore by fishermen in the area where it was retrieved and, up to press time, there was no word of the whereabouts of the missing group, whose family members are beginning to fear the worst.
Relatives of Ramlochan, of Lot 61 Mosquito Hall, East Coast Demerara, told the Guyana Chronicle they started searching with the hope of finding the quartet but, without results, scores are gathering at the different homes to lament the loss.
