Marijuana trafficking defendant remanded

STEPHEN Cappel (no address given) was yesterday remanded to prison on a drug charge, by Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on May 23, he had 729 grammes of cannabis (marijuana) for the purpose of trafficking.

Police Corporal Robert Clement, prosecuting, successfully applied for bail to be refused and the case transferred to Bartica Court, for June 9.
