WE live in a society that is marred by the behaviour of some irresponsible husbands and wives. Very often have we seen many single parents fighting to support their child or children. Most single parents often work extraneously and do not have much time for their children. Often, these children are sent to day care centres during these working periods and money has to be spent to do so. I wish to bring to the attention of readers what I have personally experienced with respect to what government is doing. Recently I was walking past the Vreed-en-Hoop RDC and I noticed some persons listening intently to what was being said. Curious about what was going on, I decided to go. I will never forget the faces that I saw there. There were single parents there and they were all beaming with joy. From them I learnt that government will be giving day care vouchers which will assist in the payment of day care services for the rest of the year.
I was very, very touched by this gesture by the government!
