The world is the way we made it

I welcome the news that the police in Guyana are going to set up a “website” to publish the names of wanted people from cold cases (Kaieteur News, “Police compiling wanted persons list for website” by Dale Andrews, 01 April 2009). I am going to ignore the political machinations that were involved in getting this “website” published and the reasons for it being pursued. I would like to submit my name “Sean Adams/ Sean Brignandan” to be checked and verified against this database.

This “crisis” is not over. In the financial crisis the “bankers” are asking “how much more damage has to be done before something is done”. And, the politicians are saying “keep your 30 pieces of silver (or trillions of dollars…the “price” would be too high) we do not want it. And, the security services are saying “not on my watch”.

The difficulty for me is that must I remain in the UK as an uninvited guest and continue as if nothing is wrong? Or, do I return to Guyana?

Guyana is the way it is because we made it so. The world is the way it is because we made it so.
SEAN ADAMS/SEAN BRIGNANDAN
