JUSTICE James Bovell-Drakes and Justice William Ramlal have been assigned to preside at the April criminal sessions of the Demerara Assizes which is slated to open with a ceremonial parade on Tuesday, April 7, 2009.
Taking part in the parade will be the Police Band and 60 ranks of the Tactical Services Unit.
The ranks of the TSU will form a Guard of Honour in South Road outside of the Supreme Court, at which one of the judges will inspect the Guard of Honour and later take the salute during a march-past.
In the event that prosecution witnesses turn up as summoned, the trials are expected to begin on Tuesday as planned.
Prosecutors will include Zamilla Ally, Diana Boyan, Dionne Mc Cammon and Fabayo Azore.
