WITH schools set to re-open on Monday, after the Christmas vacation, Minister of Education, Dr. Nicolette Henry, on Friday, visited four schools across the city to assess their readiness for re-opening.

The Education Minister was accompanied by the Head of Buildings, Ministry of Education, Mr. Ron Eastman. The schools visited were Sophia Primary, Turkeyen Nursery and New Campbellville Secondary.

Minister Henry stated that she wanted to get a first-hand understanding of the preparations that are currently ongoing on the ground to be satisfied that when school re-opens there will be no issues.

Based on what was seen on the ground, Dr. Henry indicated that she was satisfied with the preparations so far.
