Team Guyana load for Trinidad

TEAM Guyana, set to contest the second round of the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championships in Trinidad, loaded their cars and bikes yesterday.

The team will be led by 2017 defending group four 4WD champion Andrew King and his Mazda Rx7.

Matthew Vieira is on board for CMRC Round 2.

In addition to King, Mark Vieira will fly the Guyana Flag high, both aboard his Mazda Rx8 in Group four and his SR3 Radical in an invitational series.

Group three will see a lone-wolf appearance by Rameez Mohamed in his Toyota Starlet which went directly from Jamaica to Trinidad.

Group two Rameez will compete as well, in a Honda Civic along with Haniff Mohamed, who shipped his Honda Civic yesterday.

Sharima Khan is also on the trip with her Honda Del Sol.

For the Superstock bikes, Matthew Vieira (Yamaha R6) and the Team Mohamed’s Enterprise rider Matt Truelove will make the voyage.

After round one, once back-to-back champions Guyana now sit at the bottom of the table in seventh with 12 points and second in the Superstock standings.

Sharima Khan is part of Team Guyana for CMRC round 2.

Ahead of them in the following order are Cayman Islands (32), Barbados (54), USA/CAMS (80), Trinidad (144), Antigua (205) and Jamaica (506).

On the Superstock end, Jamaica have 167 points while Guyana have 66 and Trinidad & Tobago 45.
