A MAN was arrested on Sunday at the Eugene F Correia International Airport at Ogle, East Coast Demerara (ECD) by a vigilant rank of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU).
According to a CANU release, Randolph Muir, also known as “Roach” of Enterprise, Mahaicony, was on a flight scheduled for Barbados when he was apprehended.
He was escorted to a city hospital, where he reportedly excreted a total of 72 cocaine- filled pellets between Sunday evening and Monday.
The excreted pellets weighed a total of 592 grams, and Munir is currently in custody pending further investigations.
He is expected to be placed before a magistrate on Wednesday.
