VICE-PRESIDENT and Minister of Public Security, Khemraj Ramjattan, was on Friday sworn in to perform duties as President, following President David Granger departure for an intentional summit in Saudi Arabia.

Simultaneously Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo is attending a conference in Guadeloupe. Second-Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carl Greenidge is part of President Granger’s delegation. As such Fourth-Vice President and Minister of Indigenous People’s Affairs, Sydney Allicock, was sworn in to perform duties as Prime Minister.
Allicock was sworn in by President Granger. Nagamootoo departed for Guadeloupe to attend PIO Fest, an international festival to mark the 100th year since the abolition of Indian indentureship.
