THE man arrested early Sunday on suspicion of trafficking in narcotics and later admitted to swallowing 35 pellets of cocaine, was at press time said to be still excreting the matter.
At the last count, which was late Sunday, the 26-year-old East Ruimveldt resident, who is reportedly a chef at an established fast food outlet, was said to have excreted 14 pellets of cocaine, which is the equivalent of 146 grams of the substance.
Now, more than 24 hours later, he was reportedly still in excretion mode, and has thus far expelled 52 pellets, which amount to some 554 grams of cocaine.
And, by the look of things, the police say, he’s likely to release lots more.
The erstwhile chef, who was on the police radar for some time now, and is under police guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital, was arrested at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) as he was about to board a flight to The Bahamas.
