Ali enjoys another fruitful season in Canada

ALL-rounder Naveed Ali has enjoyed another fruitful year plying his trade in Toronto, Canada.
The tall,elegant right-handed batsman and right arm seamer/off spinner, who hails from West Demerara and represents the MYO Cricket Club and Cornelia Ida Cricket Club in Guyana, once again turned out for Ambassadors Cricket Club for a third consecutive year in the Scarborough Cricket (SCA) Elite League and also made his debut for Lankans Cricket Club in the Toronto & District Association Cricket League.
Ali tallied 381 runs from 15 innings across the two leagues at an average of 33.6, compiling three half centuries and a highest score of 87 versus Go Green Cricket Club. In the bowling department, he managed to grab 26 wickets in 16 games with best figures of four for 29.
Ali was also a part of the Ambassadors unit which clinched the SCA T20 title this year as well. He finished as the highest wicket-taker for his club with seven scalps from three games at an economy rate of four runs per over,with best figures of three for 21 against Victoria Park . He has since returned to Guyana where he continues to represent his two clubs.
