THE Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) has officially unveiled its highest club award, the Dolphin Award of excellence with the first recipient being Guyana Beverage Company’s General Manager Robert Selman.The award, will be handed out to 10 persons yearly who are seen as integral figures in the development of youth and sport, was officially unveiled shortly before the first was handed to Mr. Selman.

Secretary/ Chief Executive Officer of the RHTY&SC Hilbert Foster reminded that Selman has been one of the more important figures in the development of youths, adding that the obvious choice was the longstanding administrator of the GBC.
In receiving the award, Mr. Selman thanked the RHTY&SC for the way that they have held the company’s name high during sponsored tournaments and wished them well in the future
He also indicated that he is committed to continuing the sponsorships of the RHTY&SC and other organisations throughout the remainder of the year and reminded that they are all about developing sports.
Mr. Selman revealed that on an annual basis, the company doles out close to 3 million dollars as it relates to sponsorship of sporting events.
Meanwhile, the RHTY&SC handed over its second award to Ravi Manger, the proprietor of the Gizmos and Gadgets business in Guyana.
The third award is expected to be handed to President David Granger next Sunday at a special RHTY&SC ceremony in Berbice.
