MINISTER within the Office of the Prime Minister, Kwame McCoy, participated in the United Nations Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance, held from July 6-7, 2026, while attending the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2026 Forum.
According to a post on the minister’s Facebook page, the dialogue focused on promoting responsible, human-centred AI frameworks that protect human rights while advancing sustainable development goals.

Through engagements with global leaders and policymakers, Guyana also reinforced its commitment to contributing to the development of international rules governing emerging AI technologies.
