BOUNTY Colt’s U-23 team put on a masterclass on Sunday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall to dominate the Stabroek Eagles 105-55 as the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association U-23 Basketball Championship wrapped up.
It was a blow-out from start to finish as the Colts had five players in double figures.
They started out the blocks strong with a 35-11 lead; Jaden Simon, Kemol Grimmond and Shaquan Archer each starting up hot to put Eagles on the back foot with their shooting.
They would almost double their lead 64-24 at the end of the second quarter as they really started to flex their muscles.
Eagle’s skipper Alafin Joseph stood firm for his side with a hard fought 19 points but it ultimately was a footnote as Colts led 84-44 at the end of the third.
Carmelo Man-Son-Hing again showed up when it mattered most scoring 26 points to pilot his team to victory.
His captain Domitre Rankin also scored 19 points.
They were supported well by role players Simon (16), Grimmond (16) and Archer (19).
They didn’t let up in the fourth quarter showing dedication, discipline and consistency as they finished with a 106-55 for a whopping 51 points victory and the title.
In the third-place clash Nets defeated Pacesetters 92-77 with Chris Perez scoring a game high 24 points with 18 from Peter Langevine.
