SIMONE Lynch on Monday appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court where she faced two assault-related charges. She pleaded not guilty to both.

It is alleged that Lynch, 34, of North Sophia, used abusive language toward Yolanda Haynes and also threw a missile at her. The alleged incidents occurred on September 30, 2025.

In court, Lynch told the magistrate that she was unaware that she was previously required to
attend court and only learnt of the proceedings after receiving a letter instructing her to appear.

The virtual complainant told the court that the altercation began after Lynch allegedly broke down her fence.

The prosecutor did not object to bail. However, the virtual complainant’s attorney requested
that Lynch be placed on a bond to keep the peace.

The magistrate granted the request, and the matter was adjourned to December 1.
