There Are Always Profound Truths…

• That have baffled our decisions towards emotional preferences that define obvious reality

OUR human environment now tests our awareness of belief systems, like faith and the inborn will to be generous when dealing with our fallen kin and brethren, in a world where cold opportunism at all costs is rampant, without consideration. Sometimes we can hope for redemption by the emergence of other principles we were bred in, or the obvious balance of right principles we once held sacred not so long ago.

The predicament, however, can have nuances of its own, simply because all the hidden demons of temptations we were brought up to consider exist, are not merely rooted in our imagination, or things that our old folk invented. Most of them dwell in the realms of science and are powered by the forces that shape the medical—and not supernatural—realms. These are the first considerations welcomed into our value system, justified to empower, to permit us the status we desire, at all costs, by bowing to the unprincipled lures that we have succumbed to, convinced towards our own ascension to wealth and power, regardless of what must be sacrificed, as long as we are not placed at the financially restricted realms of people in need.

The most crucial consideration in the quest for some temptation rests with the impact on families. To have a family member who is a victim of narcotics—be it marijuana, cocaine, or alcohol—at its end, all have physically torn families apart. We have all witnessed the onslaught by people at the extreme of addiction. It is most of the time violent. Whether we want to help, it is daunting. When the going goes bad, it is not an easy contemplation, because much of what we witness today rests within the impact of the fields of neuropharmacology and related psychopharmacology, looping in psychiatry.

We must endeavour along the paths where opportunity guides us, in keeping with some level of principles that will not impact those close to us. Because there is this tendency to lean on the familiar when the going gets tough, and half-truths can cause pain and worse.
The age we live in differs from forty years ago. Many who share the common thinking that fits into the smartphone personality are lured by the drumbeat of the ego towards a phantasm of transformation. So there is a need for victims and for believers. Within all this is the need for sanity and responsibility. Let us be conscious as we proceed, and be aware not to court the alternative, as its reality is clearly hinted here.
