THE Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has announced its 20-player squad for the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) U-14 Girls Challenge Series in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Junior Lady Jags, which include many indigenous players, arrived in high spirits and are ready for their first international competition.
Technical Director Bryan Joseph said the tournament is vital to the players’ development. “The girls have worked hard to get themselves ready for their first international experience,” he noted.
This is a development competition, and we want to ensure we manage the expectations we place on the girls. They must have fun and enjoy this moment, and in doing so, develop a thirst for competing at this level.”
The competition is a key part of the GFF’s mission to provide young female footballers with meaningful opportunities to gain experience at the international level.
