Scenes from India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s recent three-day state visit to Guyana

INDIA’S Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi last week concluded a successful three-day state visit to Guyana.

During the visit, he and President, Dr Irfaan Ali engaged in extensive bilateral discussions that touch on many areas of mutual interest, signed several Memoranda of Understanding, addressed the National Assembly and delivered remarks at the Second CARICOM-India Summit.

He also attended several functions, some of which saw him interacting with members of Guyana’s Indian community.

PM Modi was also conferred with Guyana’s highest national award, the Order of Excellence and was presented with a sculpture titled, “Pivotal Bond,” created by renowned sculptor Winslow Craig and made from local Silverballi wood.
