Guyana, UAE examine areas of enhanced cooperation

PRESIDENT, Dr. Irfaan Ali on Thursday held bilateral discussions with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and discussed enhanced cooperation in various fields.
The Guyanese Head-of-State is currently in Dubai for the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28).

According to a post on Dr. Ali’s official Facebook page, the two leaders reviewed opportunities to develop existing cooperation, especially in the economic and development fields, and to build on these relations in a way that serves the two countries’ vision for sustainable societies and a prosperous future.
Several regional and international issues of common interest were also discussed. Cooperation between Guyana and the UAE has substantially improved over the past three years.
