Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC), Led by Zachary Jodah’s entertaining century, beat Transport Sports Club (TSC) by 77 runs at the Queen’s College (QC) ground in latest action in the NBS Second Division 40-over cricket tournament.
GCC won the toss and batted and on one of the better pitches of a round of underprepared pitches and scored 226-8 in 40 overs.

Jodha, who represented Guyana in the recently held Regional U-19 Championships in St Vincent, stroked an entertaining 103, decorated with 10 fours and three sixes.
Joash Charles, who made a cameo at the back end with a pugnacious 55, decorated with six fours and two sixes, also contributed important runs.

Emmanuel Lewis took 2-34 for TSC who folded for 151 in 34.2 overs.
Lewis then stroked 52 with five fours and sixes while Ryan Latif contributed 33.
Bowling for GCC, Dhanesh Persaud took 3-33, Aryan Persaud 3-32 and Joash Charles 2-28. (Sean Devers)
