–doubles ‘fibre’ speeds at same price, plans to roll out unlimited mobile plans next month
THE Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) has empowered hundreds of businesses with its innovative initiative, conneX, which includes “market leading” fibre internet plans that also include voice minutes to call locally and to the US/Canada.
According to a press release, GTT’s Business Solutions unit aims to utilise this initiative to create a supportive environment for entrepreneurship and the sustainability and growth of the private sector.
“The conneX service already provides the best value in the market to small and medium-sized businesses. With the enhanced conneX plans, business customers now get between 200 Mbps and 600 Mbps speeds and up to 6,000 minutes free including calls to the US and Canada,” GTT said.
GTT’s Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Business Solutions, Orson Ferguson, said that many small businesses depend on supply chains based in the US and Canada, and, as a result, the company has moved to ensure that connectivity between the countries is much easier.
He said that GTT has done its homework and is doing its part to support businesses that are critical engines of economic growth.
“We have done the consultation and research that indicate to us that this is what our customers need to ensure that they grow. More speed, more minutes, less cost and the ability to conduct a simple transaction are among the feedback that we have prioritised and delivered,” Ferguson said.
He added that within weeks, the company will also launch a new set of mobile plans for businesses. These plans will increase value for money for businesses and will be the best solution for customers with high demand and a need for constant or continuous communication.
“We have reorganised and are moving in a direction that many have asked for us to go. We will be launching our new bundle of unlimited mobile services for businesses; unlimited data, unlimited minutes, unlimited SMS and free roaming to the US and Canada,” Ferguson said.
Business customers will be able to combine the new mobile plans with their conneX plans on one bill to obtain the best prices. Payments could be made through mmg+ to avoid lines and increase the simplicity of the transaction.
