MILO Schools Football action returns tomorrow

Games resume tomorrow, continue on Monday

MILO Schools Football action will resume tomorrow and will continue on Monday at the Ministry of Education ground on CARIFESTA Avenue.
Organisers were forced to postpone last weekend’s matches on account of inclement weather and the fact that they were looking to maintain the integrity of the playing surface.

Sunday will pit Carmel against Christianburg Secondary from 12:30hrs while West Ruimveldt will take on Marian Academy from 14:00hrs. Uitvlugt and Cummings Lodge will clash at 15:30hrs while North Ruimveldt and Canje do battle from 17:00hrs.

On Monday, Golden Grove start the ball rolling against Annandale at 12:30hrs while Dolphin and Tucville get busy from 14:00hrs.
Tucville and Friendship play from 15:30hrs with Lodge and President’s College bringing the curtain down on the weekend.

The tournament, which was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, normally takes a round-robin phase. However, for this year only, the competition will feature a straight knockout format.

The tournament’s winner will be awarded $300 000 which will go towards a school project. Second to fourth places will be awarded $200 000, $100 000 and $75 000 respectively, along with individual prizes for top performers.
