JB Masters maintained their unbeaten record in the Toronto & District Association (T&DCA) Super9 50-over tournament with victories last Saturday and Sunday, making it four wins in a row.
Playing at King City on Saturday, JB Masters defeated Toronto Cricket Club by the huge margin of 177 runs while they whipped Mississauga Ramblers by nine wickets the following day at Iceland Arena-Recreation and Sports venue.
Taking first strike on Saturday, JB Masters reached a formidable 308 for eight in their allotted 50 overs with Canadian national player Saad Bin Zafar hitting a top score of 76.
Former Guyana and West Indies One-day player Royston Crandon blasted four fours and five sixes in a quick-fire 58, skipper Varun Sehdev 53 and former Guyana and West Indies Under-19 opener Matthew Nandu 46 off 57 balls with five fours.

Fast medium bowler Matthew Seepersaud, who smashed a century the previous weekend in the Scarborough Cricket Association (SCA) First Division tournament, claimed three for 61 from his allotment of 10 overs
Toronto Cricket Club were sent packing for 131 in the 28th over with Raghu Sooqoor contributing 50 while Trinidadian Allert Atiba was JB Masters’ best bowler with four for 39. Leg-spinner Kairav Sharma supported with three for 26 from six overs.
On Sunday, Mississauga Ramblers fared even worse, mustering a paltry 64 in 28 overs as Sharma was among the wickets once more, grabbing three for nine while off-spinner Sehdev took three for 16 and Sheel Patel two for 14.
Nandu was unbeaten on 36 when victory was achieved in the 11th over.
The Super9, which is the most senior of the T&DCA tournaments, continues on Sunday with JB Masters slated to play Centurions at King City. It runs until mid-September when a new champion will be crowned as defending champions. Vikings Cricket Club has opted out this season.
