AN annual rivalry between Everest Cricket Club (ECC) and Albion Community Centre Cricket Club (ACCCC) will be renewed on May 26, at the ECC ground, and the winning side will pocket $500 000.
It is themed the Dave West Indian Imports Independence Day Challenge and the 40-over clash has historical significance, as these two clubs have had previous exchanges, the last being in the early 90s.
There are also other lucrative prizes on offer for individual brilliance. $3 000 will be awarded to every six struck and $2,000 for every four or wicket

For the hosts, national players Clinton Pestano, Amir Khan, Rajendra Chandrika, and Richie Looknauth are expected to feature against Devendra Bishoo, Kelvin Umroa, Kandasammy Surjnarine, Sharaz Ramcharran, and Gauraz Ramesh.
The Guyana Tourism Authority and SuperBet have also come on board as sponsors.
Match time is 10:00hrs and admission is free.
