REGAL completed the double with resounding victories in both the Legends and Masters categories on the final day of the South Florida Softball Cricket League (SFSCL) tournament at the Brian Piccolo Park, yesterday.
The Legends defeated Toronto Blizzards by 79 runs while Masters made light work of Corriverton Masters by 67 runs. Seemingly in danger of surrendering their unbeaten run in the tournament when they struggled to 56 for four in the first 10 overs, Regal Legends went on the rampage in the final 10 to finish on 196 for nine.
Eric Thomas led the way with a whirlwind 62 which included eight sixes. Toronto Blizzards were dismissed for 117 in 18.4 overs. In the Masters category, Regal Masters batted first and made 189 for four before restricting their opponents to 121 for six in 20 overs.
