SHIMRON Hetmyer and Tevin Imlach made the most of day three in the Guyana Harpy Eagles four-day practice match at the Albion Community Centre ground.
Hetmyer, who ended day two on 69 went on to pile on 149 before he was dismissed for 149 by Johsua Jones. The West Indies batter spent five hours at the crease, facing 256 balls, striking seven fours and a solitary six.
Imlach, known for immense patience, resumed on 45 and reached 106 after facing 305 balls in a seven-hour-long vigil at the crease, where he had just six boundaries.
He became the first of five wickets for Anthony Adams who took 5-60 in 32.5 overs. Apart from those two sterling batting performances, Junior Sinclair (17), Keemo Paul (14), and Quintin Sampson (13) chipped in, as Keemo Paul’s XI were bowled out for 357 after starting the day on 154-2.
Kevin Sinclair (2-90), Joshua Jones (1-16), Kelvin Umroa (1-40) and Keon Joseph (1-22) were also among the wickets.
Leon Johnson’s XI reached stumps eight without loss with both Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Raymond Perez on four. They trail by 95 after they made 254 in their first innings.
