A CONTINGENT of 28, of which 22 are athletes, will head to Cali, Colombia to represent Guyana at the inaugural Junior Pan-American Games which will run from November 25 to December 5.

Kalam Juman-Yassin, president of the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA),, delivered the charge to the Guyanese athletes and officials on Friday afternoon, and stressed the need for them to be good ambassadors and role models.
Guyana’s delegation would be led by Chef-de-Mission Deirdre Edghill, and has a physiotherapist, Jana Edghill, who will also act as the COVID-19 compliance officer.
GOA treasurer, Garfield Wiltshire, pointed out that Eureka Labs provided the PCR tests for the entire Guyana contingent free of charge, like it did for the country’s delegation at the Tokyo Olympic Games earlier this year.
