NATIONAL table tennis player Miguel Wong has gotten more corporate support, this time from Digicom, as he leaves Guyana today for Germany where he will be part of a High-Performance programme.
In Germany, he will attend TopSpin Sport Tischtennis Centre until the Senior Pan American Championships in Lima, Peru from November 13 to 19 then onto Cali, Colombia, from November 25 to December 5 for the inaugural Junior Pan-Am Games.
The 21-year-old expressed thanks for the support of the tech company and stated that it goes a long way in assisting him on this important venture. He hopes he can do well as a way of repaying the support.
Leslyn Cameron, a representative of Digicom wished Wong a successful journey as he represents Guyana on the world stage.
Wong has gotten support from Taco Loco, Everest Cricket Club, Altitude Sport Drink, and Zoon Online Shopping.
The Junior Pan American Games will be the first of its kind and is a multi-sport event for athletes aged 17 to 22 in the Americas, organised by Panam Sports.
