SKIPPER of the Enmore Community Centre Cricket Club (ECCCC), Bheemraj Ramkelawan, said that their recent T10 victory has proved their dominance yet again and has placed them in a mental frame of mind to continue battling whenever cricket re-starts on the East Coast of Demerara.
“Some of our players continue to train during the off-season and are mentally prepared to compete when cricket re-starts on the East Coast.”
Ramkelawan said that his players showed their abilities in the LBI Sports Club T10 competition, which concluded on Sunday.
“The win has proved once again that Enmore CCCC is among the more consistent clubs with hard-working and dedicated cricketers. It is also heartening to see that young Chaitram Balgobin has been excelling among the senior cricketers.”
After having secured a place in the final by beating their B team, LBI A awaited the winner of the ECCCC vs Lusignan SC semi-final battle, which was played on Sunday morning.

In that clash, Enmore CCCC batted first and made 83-3. Balgobin led the way with an unbeaten 27, while Rudolph Singh added an unbeaten 15.
Lusignan, in reply, were restricted to 61-7 after S. Jainarine grabbed 3-9 from two overs and C. Surat 2-17.
Enmore also batted first in the final against home team LBI and scored 99-2.
Vishwanauth Ramlakhan led the attack with four sixes in his 44, while Balgobin again played an unbeaten knock. His 32 included three sixes.
LBI, in reply, reached 79-1 before their overs expired.
Steve finished with 31 not out and Nizam Khan 23.
Ramlakhan was adjudged player-of-the-final while Balgobin won the best batsman’s award. Meanwhile, Richard Dowlatram was declared the best bowler of the tournament.
Eight teams battled in the competition.
