Upon hearing the sizzling rumours, The Buzz caught up with the establishment’s owners, George and Felecia Semple who spared no hesitation in dishing out for us, their success story, which was largely inspired by their time overseas.
“We came back from St Maarten just recently and decided to introduce this new concept since customers are very fussy about how their meals should be cooked. Some like their meats well done, while other prefers it half cooked etcetera, so to meet these many varying demands, we decided to invent this form of cooking style, so that all can be satisfied,” a smiling Felecia Semple explained.

With grills inserted in the middle of the tables, patrons get to cook their meat just the way they like it

From the outside, “George & Felecia’s Licious Grilled and Fried” looks like any other Bar-B-Que joint; that is until you enter the captivating milieu which paints the picture of comfort meets elegance.
What is particularly intriguing, is that Felicia and George have inserted mini grills in the middle of the tables, affording customers the opportunity to grill an extensive variety of meats to their own likeness, while the touch of good music augments the intriguing conversations with family and friends. To further spice things up, the Semples have employed themes to keep their patrons amused almost every night of the week. There are karaoke sessions on Thursdays and Sundays, while Mondays to Wednesdays cater specifically to those who wish to indulge in some “After Work Siesta Lime”, executed in an electric atmosphere, decorated with television sets that feature some of our favourite sports channels! On Fridays and Saturdays, patrons are treated to live entertainment from popular one-man bands, keenly selected from across Guyana; not to mention captivating acrobatic displays and stand-up comedy from some of the most notable names in the local industry. All in all, Felicia and George have offered us and mouthful of options that we are sure to consider when we’re ready to buss a lime!
