BCB set to host 4 camps across Ancient County

THE Berbice Cricket Board’s (BCB) ongoing comprehensive developmental programme continues by hosting its upcoming four mini cricket academies for youths.
These academies are set to be held in ancient county zones – West Berbice, New Amsterdam/Canje, Lower Corentyne and Upper Corentyne. The venues would be the Hopetown, Rose Hall Canje, Albion and Cut and Load Cricket grounds.
Among the experienced coaches on hand to facilitate the camp are national coaches including Julian Moore, West Indies women’s player

Tremayne Smartt, Winston Smith, Michael Hyles, Travis Hardcourt, Balram Samaroo, Anthony D’Andrade, Leslie Solomon who will oversee action at the academies, which are set to run off simultaneously.
Meanwhile, West Berbice clinic is set to cater for 40 youths – New Amsterdam/Canje 50, Lower Corentyne 50 and Upper Corentyne 40- for a combined 180 youths.
Also, each player will receive a copy of the historic BCB Coaching Manual. The four academies would be sponsored by overseas-based Dr Tulsi Dyal Singh.
