Team Alanis’ Georgetown to Mahaicony and back cycling race set for Sunday

CYCLISTS will participate in a Georgetown to Mahaicony and back, road race on Sunday, July 4.
The Team Alanis event will have senior cyclists battle over a distance of 55 miles.
The race, which is open to all categories of riders will have Masters and Females compete over a shorter distance.
According to Paul Choo-wee-nam of Team Alanis, those two categories will battle over a distance of 40 miles.
The Masters rider is also encouraging participants to come out for the race and to stay in shape since a number of big races are carded for this month.
This weekend’s event will see cyclists assemble at Carifesta Avenue from 07:00hrs before they proceed to Halfway Tree in Mahaicony and back to the starting point for the finish.
