Dear Editor,

THE smell of smoke was detected earlier in the day, later it started as a small fire which could not be contained and became a conflagration completely destroying a four-storey building in the heart of the City. Many factors might contribute as to why the fire could not be contained and literally flared out of control.  A little smoke, such devastation. The lesson here: if a burning smell is detected or sparking of electrical items seen, investigate and take the necessary steps to avoid a devastating situation. My sympathy to all those who suffered this disastrous heartbreak.
