CENTURIES from Kevon Boodie and former West Indies U-19 cricketer Kevlon Anderson propelled home team, the Police Sports Club to a dominant first day against Transport Sports Club in their GISE, Star Party Rental, and Trophy Stall first-division two-day Cricket match.
When bails were lifted, the Lawmen were on 370-3 from 44 overs, with a first-innings lead of 269 after having bowled out Transport Sports Club for 101 in 27.5 overs.

Boodie smashed his way to a mammoth 161 with 14 sixes and nine fours before he was caught on the boundary off the bowling of 13-year-old leg spinner on debut, Riyad Latif. Anderson on the other hand ended the day unbeaten on 129 not out. He has so far struck nine fours and eight sixes.
The dominance of the pair, who put together 248 for the third wicket, overshadowed the bowling prowess of left-arm spinner Anthony Adams and Eon Rodrigues who spurred the Lawmen in control early.
Transport had no answer for Rodrigues who decimated the top order with 4-62 from 14 overs, while Adams damaged the lower order with 5-26 from 8.5 overs.
Only Rafael Singh with 38 (3X4s, 1X6) and Adrian Hinds with a similar score (2X4s, 3X6s) were able to show resistance.
Today, Police will be hunting for an outright victory.
