THE Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GABBFF) has announced its slate of competitions for the remainder of 2021 with the nearest competition set for May. The Federation, which held its virtual Bodybuilding show last December, will commence the 2021 season with the Novices Championship which is scheduled for May 29 in Linden, followed by the Intermediate Championship in Berbice on July 31. Guyana will then field a team for the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) Saint Marteen Diamond Cup, billed for that country for July at a date to be finalised soon. Next up will be the Central American Caribbean Championships, tentatively set for El Salvador in August. The date for this event is still pending also. That competition will be followed by the Mr. Guyana Seniors Championship scheduled for September 26 at the National Cultural Centre. At the conclusion of that event, the top performer will move on to represent Guyana at the Darcy Beckles Classic in Barbados and the Arnold Classic South America Championship later in the year. The Darcy Beckles Classic is marked to unravel in September at a date to be announced later while the Arnold Classic South America is set for October 29-30, 2021.
