SINCE sponsored Regional one-day cricket started in 1976, several players have completed the double; scoring a century and capturing five wicket hauls.
But only Jamaican Andre Mc Carthy could boast of scoring three centuries, capturing two five- wicket hauls and snaring a hat-trick. The Jamaican maestro have Regional Super 50 centuries with 118 vs ICC Americas in 2016 at the Frank Worrell Memorial ground, St. Augustine; 105 vs Guyana at Coolidge in 2018. He also has two five-wicket hauls: 5 for 26 vs the Leeward Islands at Coolidge in 2018 and 6 for 16, including a hat-trick vs Barbados, at Coolidge in 2021.
The following players have completed the double: Lockhart Sebastian 105 vs the Leeward Islands at the Botanical Gardens, Roseau Dominica (1982); 101 vs Trinidad & Tobago at Guaracara Park (1983) and 5 for 34 from 7 overs vs Jamaica at Mindoo Phillip Park St. Lucia in 1980.
Richard Austin (deceased) 124 not out vs Leeward Islands at Sabina Park (1982) and 5 for 37 from 9 overs vs Windwards Islands at Mindoo Phillip Park, St. Lucia in 1980.
Phillips Simmons 105 vs Windward Islands at Guaracara Park (1990) and 5 for 36 vs Windward Islands at Guaracara Park (1983). Wilden Cornwall on debut, 126 vs the USA at Kensington Park Jamaica (1998) and 103 for Antigua & Barbuda vs Trinidad & Tobago at Beausejour, St. Lucia (2002) and 6 for 36 vs Guyana at Albion (2004).
Ramnaresh Sarwan 5 for 10 vs Bermuda (1998) at Hampton Court, Essequibo; 113 vs Leeward Islands at Lucas Ground, Barbados (2005); 106 not out vs Barbados at North Star Ground Bridgetown (2005), and 113 not out vs Leeward Islands at Bourda (2005). Jonathan Carter 5 for 26 vs Windward Islands at Kensington Oval (2013), and 109 vs Jamaica (2014); 100 vs Leeward Islands (2021) at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
