THE eight branch of the Pizza Hut restaurant franchise opened on Friday with a new location within the departure terminal at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA). The business will cater to both outgoing passengers and staff at the CJIA. Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill, welcomed the move by Corum Group Guyana.
“We are extremely delighted that Pizza Hut Guyana has expanded its brand to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport. We believe that this investment is an expression of confidence in our economy,” he said. Minister Edghill added: “It is also an indication of what is to come, as the government looks to increase the passenger experience by adding additional food and dining options.” According to Corum Group Guyana Managing Director, Clairmont Cummings, some 23 jobs were created as a result of the new location. The company is also looking to open two other Pizza Hut restaurants this year.

“The opening of Pizza Hut (CJIA) will provide travelers and airport staff with fast, convenient, and delicious food options. Our airport branch allows us to cater to hungry travelers who want great tasting food on the fly. We are honoured to provide this service,” Cummings said.
He noted that the Pizza Hut brand continues to perform exceptionally well under Corum’s management, with a strong and loyal customer base.
Corum Holdings is a diversified company that currently operates in three industries: distribution, restaurant management, and real estate development.
Corum is based in Georgetown, Guyana and was founded by Clairmont Cummings, in 2013, with the support of Dwayne Cummings and Navin Singh. The company started off with a single independent restaurant named Gravity Lounge and rapidly expanded its portfolio.
