THE Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club (RHTY&SC) and Ansa McAl Ltd renewed their long-term relationship as part of the club’s continued development.
Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster paid a courtesy call on Managing Director of Ansa McAl Ltd, Troy Cadogan, at the company’s head office in Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara.
Cadogan informed the club secretary that the company was very impressed with the work of the award-winning organisation and as such would renew its long-standing sponsorship in 2021.
Ansa McAl has been sponsoring activities of the club for over two decades. Foster hailed the company as one of the main reasons for the great success of the RHTY&SC and expressed gratitude to Cadogan, Beverly Harper and Paul Chan-A-Sue for their cooperation over the years.
The company, in 2021, would be co-sponsoring the club’s annual award ceremony and youth review magazine as well as fully sponsoring the eighth edition of the RHTYSC/Ansa McAl Award of Excellence programme.
The 31st Award Ceremony of the club would be held in April on a smaller scale due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic Several of its long-standing members will be homoured for their services over the last 31 years while the performances of several cricketers would also be recognised by management.
A total of 30 awards would be shared out at the ceremony which would be held under very strict COVID-19 guidelines at the St Francis Centre.
Under the Ansa McAl Award of Excellence five outstanding Berbicians would be honoured for their contribution in the fields of sports, culture, education, community development and charity.
Foster stated that the company over the years has also supported the club’s television programmes, cricket academies, summer camps, Christmas village and charity programme among others.
He assured Cadogan that the club would continue to uphold its high standards and would continue to represent the company brand with distinction.
