PERSONS who have had loans from the commercial banks express their gratitude to the Governor of the Bank of Guyana for extending the COVID-19 relief granted to June 30, 2021.  These terms would include the banks would refrain from classifying loans as non-performing; overdraft at one per cent per annum; and interest would be one per cent less for loans above $10 million, and two per cent less for loans below $10 million.  We expect the banks will perform in a timely fashion, and all borrowers hope that normality would soon return.
