IN our December 17, 2020 edition, the Guyana Chronicle carried a story headlined: “Appeal Court affirms 20-year sentence for murder convict”. In the said article, the following words: ‘Todd explained to the court that he made several attempts to contact Romeo’s relatives for fees, but it proved futile’ were attributed to Attorney, Dexter Todd. Attorney Todd has disputed the statement attributed to him. The Guyana Chronicle addressed the matter promptly and is satisfied that the statement attributed to Attorney Todd was highly inaccurate. The Guyana Chronicle sincerely apologises to Attorney Todd for any inconvenience that grave error would have caused him.
