STARR COMPUTER has introduced a disinfectant channel for all customers seeking the company’s services.
The safe, reliable, efficient and convenient machine is equipped with a touchless hand sanitiser along with a whole body mist spray and shoe sole sterilization.
In an interview with this publication, President of STARR Computer, Mike Mohan, said COVID-19 and other diseases have risen and fallen within the past nine months worldwide while the second wave is projected to exponentially escalate in the coming months.

“We are compelled to keep our economy open so as to survive. Successful vaccine development is the long-awaited light at the end of the tunnel. However, when it becomes available, authorities will be faced with the challenge to determine how to distribute its limited supply amongst large populations,” Mohan noted.

He urged citizens and customers to take special precautions and to take the necessary actions to keep the infection “curve down” daily.
“Face mask, social distance and hand washing are great, but still not enough. After several months of trials and modifications, STARR Computer has finally developed its own version of a STARR Disinfectant Channel to protect our customers and employees. At best, this is a 30 seconds four step protection process,” Mohan noted.

The channel, he said can be configured as either a single or multi-entry chamber and is built with steel. Its metal base mounted on wheels allows easy portability.
“Our 30 seconds four step Deluxe Disinfectant Channel at entry starts with an Infra-Red (IR) ultra-fast temperature reader to the wrist which can activate an alarm if fever is indicated. This is followed by a touchless hand sanitiser application to clean hands of any infectious particles. Thereafter, a special sensor activates the disinfection Chamber which sprays a neutralizing mist that disinfects bacteria on the subject outer clothing or skin while the floor mat cleanser sanitises your shoe sole before you enter our premises,” Mohan explained.

When retrofitted with a programmable tablet, the Company’s President said that the chamber can remotely monitor real-time activities.
Further, he said that this advanced professional disinfectant channel can support facial recognition to sound alarm for missing mask as well as conduct body count on human traffic inflow.
“This application can be further configured to support employee’s time clock system. And, if the market requires, we may be able to prototype a disinfectant channel for shopping carts and baskets sterilisation for Supermarkets. As we bring products to market, we will be able to offer customers multiple sanitisation options,” he said.

The chamber can be placed at shopping centres, schools, banks, hospitals, and other public places.
