IT is often said that anything is possible with hard work and determination, and this was proven by newly sworn-in Attorney-at-Law Teakaram Singh, when he was admitted to the local bar on Friday.
Singh, who hails from the Essequibo Coast, was admitted to the bar by Justice Navindra Singh at the Demerara High Court.
His petition was presented by Attorney-General and Minster of Legal Affairs, Anil Nandlall.
Singh attended the University of Guyana’s Turkeyen Campus, for the period 2015 to 2018, and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2018.
He then completed the two-year course of studies, assignments, examinations and practical training for the Legal Education Certificate (LEC) at the Hugh Wooding Law School, in Trinidad, and was awarded his legal certification on September 4, 2020.
While attending the Hugh Wooding Law School, Singh participated in Mediation Advocacy Training, which has equipped him with the skills necessary to help clients settle their disputes amicably outside of the court.
