THE autopsy performed on the remains of Sanesha Subrina Lall,16, of Richmond Housing Scheme, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) has revealed that she died as a result of multiple injuries from stab wounds. The autopsy was performed on Thursday by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh.
Meanwhile, her 34-year-old killer remains a patient at the Suddie Public Hospital under guard. He reportedly consumed a quantity of poisonous substance hours after he committed the gruesome act.
Lall was killed on November 11, when her ex-boyfriend visited her sister’s home, entered the bedroom, and started to stab her. He had been asked previously not to go to the teenager’s sister’s home but did so, nevertheless, while armed with a knife. Relatives claim that he and the deceased had had a two-year relationship, but because he was married, everyone advised the teenager to stay away from him.
Lall’s mother died a few years ago and left behind four children to fend for themselves. The father, who was reportedly an alcoholic, had died due to prolonged usage. Lall had moved out of the family home after being subjected to continuous mental abuse at the hands of her father.
Relatives told this newspaper that even though the family of the deceased is poor, they are trying their best to give her a decent funeral. Her body was handed over by the police to her relatives. The deceased was described as a helpful young lady. Neighbours said whenever they asked her to help them, she was always helpful. Residents are calling on the relevant authorities to look into the welfare of the younger siblings, since they really need help.
