Cuba hosts business showcase for CARICOM envoys

GUYANA’S Ambassador to Cuba, Halim Majeed, on Tuesday, visited the Cuban Chamber of Commerce during a day of promotion for Cuban Export Products at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment Building in Havana.

The event showcased for CARICOM Ambassadors in Cuba a wide range of products that Cuba could export, not only to the Caribbean, but also to other markets.

President of the Chamber, Antonio Carricarte Corona, welcomed the participants and expressed the hope that CARICOM ambassadors would take advantage of the opportunity being presented.

Among the Cuban companies that made presentations were BioCubaFarma, IMECO, EAI Ceballos, SMC, ARTEX, UNECA, IMECO and CARIBEX S.A.

Arlenys Ponce Verdecia, Caribbean Specialist and Dr. Celia Labora, Director of Marketing, both of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, were also present, among other Cuban officials and dignitaries.
