A 15-year-old boy is battling for his life at the New Amsterdam Hospital after he was stabbed by a 41-year-old man who told him his mother had contracted COVID-19.
The Guyana Chronicle understands that Riyaad Hussain, of St Magdelene Street, was standing with a friend at Main and Pope Streets at around 18:00hrs on Sunday, when the suspect told him that his mother, who is a nurse, had contracted the deadly virus.
