MOBILE Money Guyana (mmg+) has announced that all mmg+ deposits with the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (GBTI) will now be updated every two-hours for even quicker access to funds.

General Manager of mmg+, Bobita Ram, said the department continues to work with its partners to ensure that its customers receive the best service with the greatest of efficiencies and convenience.

“This is just another way we continue to make business easier for our customers.  As we adjust to the new normal, we need to ensure that processes become simpler and more customer friendly. Our product supports digital transactions, made especially necessary as together we limit physical interactions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Ram said.
Meanwhile, Public Relations and Marketing Manager at GBTI, Pamela Binda, said the bank is pleased to facilitate and announce this service enhancement.

“The bank continues to upgrade its services in order to make banking easier, efficient and more convenient for our customers. With this upgrade. MMG transactions will result in the customers’ payments being faster. This is testimony to the fact that partnerships like these with mmg+ can help in making the lives of all better, easier and safer even as we navigate through the pandemic,” she said.

The GBTI public relations marketing manager is urging persons to sign up with the bank to use its online services to pay their bills while avoiding lines and crowds.
While noting that this is the best time for persons to sign up and use mmg+ as we utilise more online and contactless transactions, Ram disclosed that mmg+ will soon be making additional, major developments. She said, “We will soon be making significant upgrades to the platform. I know for sure our customers will be very happy,” she added.
In May, mmg+ partnered with GBTI and Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) to provide the added convenience of online uploads to MMG wallets.
